Default Which scan mode for E38 ECM?

Should I be using General or Stream Fast for logging an E38 ECM? Also, what is the number of channels it should be limited to for the most frames per second?

Use Stream Fast whenever you can, its the most efficient for logging.
See Appendix E on page 184 of the V7 Scan Tool manual for a description of logging speed and channel counts.
Basically in the V7 scan tool software, all controllers are limited to 4 packets of 6 channels each for a total of 24 channels.

Note: That information is superseded by the V8 Scan Tool which allows more channels to be logged for some controllers (including the E38).
With the V8 software and Black Box Logging, EFILive can log up to 49 channels (7 packets of 7 channels each) for the E38.
