Default Tips and tricks for a 5.3

Hey everybody i just recently picked up an 04 rcsb 1500 truck for the shop. Its already got an intake an exhaust on it installed by the previous owner. I am new to gas efi live but have been around diesel for a while now. I am looking for a couple tips to get this thing running the best it can. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I would do a MAF Calibration and possibly a VE tune right off.
I am sure adding some timing may help esp in the pe areas.
Most LSx engines I hear are way rich also in PE on the upper end. I have heard from sources and seen first hand (2006 GTO) that being true. So reducing the PE % actually helps. But log KR when making those adjustments.
Im sure its auto, so reducing Tq Management will make you smile during shifts.
Someting else safe to do is reducing any PE delay that there may be and lowering the TPS % for engagement.

    Just a few starter things.

Yes, your EFILive program came with DOC file to read on how-to do it. Its in the Tutorials Folder in Program Files, EFILive folder on ur computer when u loaded up the EFILive disc to ur PC.
Theres a few ways to do it I have read and you can search the forum for how-to in the stickys.

Make sure PE enables easier (see 2002 Camaro file, 65%/35% vs 90% for trucks).
