    Default BBL Calc PIDs

Can anyone explain how to correctly transfer Calc PIDs from the 7.5 software to the V8? I know you can add it to the log afterwards, but I would like to monitor them in real time situations some times.

    Thanks

In the V7 scantool, on the PIDS tab, highlight the set of pids you want, then do rightclick->Copy (there might be a special copy)

Then in V8 S&T, on the BBx page, select a pid list, and in the pids area do ricghtclick->Paste.

Negative ghostrider. The copy from V7.5 works fine, but it will not paste into V8.

    On a blank notepad doc it'll paste "EFI_V8PIDS CALC.MPG".

I am using the latest builds of both software with the latest firmware.

You need to select all of the PIDs you want to copy, this got me a few times. So if you want SAE.RPM, SAE.MAP, SAE.VSS to copy to V8, you must select all 3 PIDs at the same time, then go Edit-> Copy for Export to V8.

Are you pasting directly into V8 BBX -> BBL PID list?

Ah, my apology... I looked closer in the V7 scantool...

do this: from PIDs tab, go Edit->Copy for export to V8, and then paste in V8 BBx pidlist (the green area).

    (i.e. it is a special copy/paste)

CALC pids can't be pasted into V8 BBx pidlists... they can't be computed while doing V2 logging... they can be added/saved in when viewing a log file.
