-FlashScan screen shows a menu.
-Device Manager shows Driver date of 1/18/2013, Driver version of 2.8.28.0
-Status is not showing green ticks, and when I look at Firmware under the EFILive Control Panel, it is still showing "Not connected"

OK, here's the latest on my end: I set an administrator password, rebooted, and attempted to load the driver again. I am still getting the same errors: Status is not showing green ticks, and when I look at Firmware under the EFILive Control Panel, it is still showing "Not connected". Please advise.

Run the EFILive software as Admin...

i.e. rightclick on the executable and do Run As or Run As User and tell it Admin.
