Did you "format CONFIG file system" first?
Where do I go to do that? Don't remember doing it.

Same drop down arrow
Updating the firmware (obtained by updating the software) is not sufficient (you will see those screens you posted)...
[ BTW: don't do Update, but rather download the software and manually install it, and use EFILive Explorer to manually flash the bootblock/firmware into V2) ]
You must also run the V8 S&T software, goto BBx and on each of the Scan and Tune tabs make sure you edit/add items that are for your ECM (you can delete the others)...
[ BBx Scan tab = this is where you define pidlists for your ECM; BBx Tune tab= this is where you identify you ECM ]
then you have to do Program All (doing Program is not sufficient)... you access Program All via the downarrow next to the Program button.
And also: in Win7/8 you have to run V8 S&T or V8 EE as Administator.
Okay so for any time I want to use my v2 for data logging or watching pids off of it I have to hook it up to the the vehicle and then program all for the pids for that vehicle?? And why is it showing this after I click display data or select pids?

No, something else has gone wrong... can you retrace your steps...
Did you also format the Config space before doing Program All...?
Did any of the bar graphs on the BBx display go red (not enough room)...?
Do this from BBx:
- format the Config space,
- open the Options.txt file (containing your pidlists and ECM),
- check that the bargraph at bottom left is not red )post screenshot),
- do Program All, wait for it to finish.
Edit: note that he has no pids in the pidlists (see what Blacky says below).
