    Hi Perry,

Cindy has a very good point, you might want to read this (read the pdf carefully): Upgrading-from-older-bootblock-firmware

Thanks Cindy. I did misspeak. Apparently I have EFI live in two folders in my C drive. I was in fact accessing my 7.3.1 through an old shortcut, but the updated folder for V 7 has build 7.5.7 and 8.22.8 in the V8 folder.

Apparently V8 is not yet working but 7.5.7 is in demo version even with my correct serial number and key in it. Interestingly enough 7.5.7 has no space for name in the licensing details.

I will take Joecar's advice and hook my computer up to my V2 when I can get to it to reenable it or whatever you call it.

I can do everything I want to do now with this demo version except that it is a bit annoying to have to close the Demo box everytime I move between tables. But life has bigger problems than that minor inconvenience.

    Thanks for your help.

    Cindy/Joecar:

All is well. I went and got my FSC V2 and hooked it up to the computer and also updated both 7.5.x.x and 8.2.2 software. After that update the V8 asked me to update by bootware than firmware in 2 steps so I am now at 2.07.06 and 2.07.49 and all seems to be well.

Now that the 98 is gone, I should use one of my remaining licenses for the 08 Z06 I bought. I will go hook up the V2 to it and get that done.

    Thanks again,

The Z06 is the E40 controller not the E38 correct?

    2008 Corvette would be E38.

Thank you. I found a stock file in the Holden site.

It works well with my V2 attached, but will only work in demo mode if I am working with the laptop alone. Is that normal?

No it shouldnt do that, the licensing information still isnt being entered correctly OR authenticated correctly.

If it helps, feel free to send me a PM to setup a time next week to look at this. If you have Windows Vista or later, we could use Remote Assistance to make sure the registration information is entered correctly (dont enter your name) and check to make sure the installation isnt corrupt.
