Default Weird start and die today. Have to get towed home

Truck has been running fine, loaded a new revised tune on the truck about 3 weeks ago making just a few changes and all has been great. The tune revisions were done to a tune I have been running on for about 6 months prior to the few changes made 3 weeks ago. Started truck and went to family get together to eat, drove about 23 miles. Parked truck and spent time with family and then came back out and started truck and it fired right up and then died in about 4-5 seconds. I thought hmmm, that was weird never done that before. restarted truck and fired right up and died in about 4-5 seconds again. Acts just like when you load the wrong VIN in one but I have been running this tune for 3 weeks and running great. Pulled out my V2 and loaded the previous tune I had on it for 6 months and truck started right up and died in about 4-5 seconds again. Called tow truck to get it in morning and bring it home, will not run. I verified the two tunes from my V2 when I got home and both have the proper VIN in them but starts and dies just like a VIN issue..?

Went back and pulled up tunes I was running in February and the VIN, OS, Calibration and all are the same. Has been driving great and this came out of nowhere.

Any suggestions on what to look for before I take to Dealer (I do not want to do that if I dont have to)

It will start right up, then die in about 4-5 seconds. If you turn the key back to the off position and then turn it back to start it will fire right up and run for about 4-5 seconds everytime. But, if dies and you do not turn the key back off first, it will not start or turn over at all.

Thanks guys for any and all help you can provide.

Try a different key...they've been know to fail and will produce similar symptoms

The Wireless Control Module..needs to communicate with the key to establish a run condition. If your key has died the WCAN will not allow a run condition, and it will act similarly to a incorrect vin.

Great idea. I will run up to the truck before the tow truck heads that way tomorrow and give it a try and report back. Thank you Les for the reply.
