Default Throttle Cracker - No CPP due to being a Holden PCM

    I've got some low speed surge on a mildly cam'd LS1 (M6 - manual).

I've rear several thread and understand how the TC & TF might help with this.

However I've logged the IAC_TC_DMA & IAC_TF_DMA on both a 1221256 & COS5 OS the TC PID is showing basically zero adjustments. The TF is adding air to match any changes I make to tables.

As I don't have a CPP switch or the wiring as I'm using a Holden based wiring loom & PCM. Maybe an automatic OS might get the TC tables working again?

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I think I'll try the 12225074 OS which was originally on my PCM.

I have a choice of two files one from an auto and one from a manual. Is there actually a difference in the software? Both are 12225074.

Is there a way to add a CPP switch...?

I will check at the weekend as I'm not near the car but there may not be a pin on my connector. On the Holden autos that pin is Blue/White and connects to PRNDL A.

So I may be able to add a pin and use the 1221256 OS but I've got a custom converted car with a bias pedal box and it's a lot more hassle than finding an OS that will work without one. I'll try the Holden OS on the PCM and post back the result.

OK so I copied over all the tables from 1221256 LS1B 512K PCM to my original Monaro (Holden/HSV) 12225074 LS1B 512K tune which took a while!

I reprogrammed the PCM with the new OS and went for a drive. Immediately I could see the IAC_TC_DMA PID was logging consistent values and my surge has 99% gone. I have some transmission slop so it will never be perfect and there may still be some fine tuning but I now have the Cracker tales working without a CPP clutch switch.

Maybe this is worth a sticky?

Only downside is the LTFTs have shifted a bit so it probably needs a few CALC.VET etc. runs to get them close again.

Interested how to do this as my retrofit also doesn't have a CPP - can you share?

    Thanks
