    Default LMM DSP-5 p0102

I'm having some trouble with an LMM I've tuned with a dsp-5. It keeps throwing the p0102 code even though I have that code set for not reported no mil. The code sets at low cruising RPM's. The guy didn't have any problems with this before with his H&S Black Max on it. The EGR is not blocked but it is tuned so its not active.
Could an egr that's slightly open cause this problem?

I get that one quite a bit with the BOSCH ECM's. I turn it off and ignore it. It will still show up on an all code scan, but not an emissions scan. Others refer to it as a ghost code. Don't feel bad as you're not alone with it.

If it was a soft code I would ignore it. It is actually setting the check engine light even though the code is set to not report no mil. I've tried it several different ways and the light still comes on. I've tuned roughly 30 LMM's and this is the only one I've had an issue with. It looks like I will be putting a dsp-2 in for him.

Well the DSP-2 did the same thing. We had flashed it with the DSP-2 for a test and it didn't set the check enging light so we went ahead and put the switch in. The light came on after we drove it for 15-20 minutes. It set the dtc when the engine is at low rpm's. I've double checked everything I can think of and can't find anything wrong with the calibration or the intake system.
Has anyone ever tried a finger stick on an LMM?

It turns out that the p0102 was not responsible for turning the MIL on. It was a p0571 cruise control circuit "brake switch " that was setting the check engine light.
Before I tuned the truck the first time I read that code out with the V2, cleared the code and flashed the truck. The cruise was intermittent but checking for DTC's with the V2 only pulled up the p0102.

I had the scan tool running yesterday doing some data logging and read the code when it popped the light on and the P0571 was the only code shown.

I've learned a valuable lesson from this. I will be checking codes from both scan tool and V2. I figured the V2 was getting all of them when I selected the mfg all for checking DTC's.
