    Default 2008 LMM Transit Bus

    Does anyone know if this ecm is compatible with efilive. i have a customer who is wanting tuning but before he drives the distance for me to put dsp5 on it he would like to know if it is supported. looks like other lmm ecm's let me know if you need any other info. thanks.

    The ECM is probably the same, but need to know the operating system loaded in it to see if it is supported or not. There are a few out there that I don't think are supported that GM released to some offroad companies. If it is just a MD truck then chances are it is supported.

    Just before he takes the drive you should be made aware that those 'non truck' applications sometimes use specific 'non truck' OS's, most of these have not had DSP5 written for them. The OS 12620015 is often used in Motorhomes and all 5500 based vehicles, this does not have a DSP5 upgrade option. Normal tuning is possible, just no DSP.

    Does any of this help you to clerify support Ross? The dealer has no clue what an OS is and i have no clue how to read Tech II. Im assuming OS = Calibration ID

    That is the same OS the Express Van uses (12628740), normal tuning is supported, but there is no DSP upgrade.
