    Default After a 2011 t43 vette tune / 6l80e troubles

Hey guys im new to the forum

Im currently helping a friend with his l77/6l80e powered FD rx7

Car is running no bcm and we are having a few small issues at the moment

    1. We cant make the gearbox engage gears unless we spin the wheels up then it catches and works normally in DTV mode (gear shifter isnt fully setup yet)
    2. We want paddle shift functionality and heard we need to run a vette OS from the same year
    3. Tune depot doesnt have later than 2009 t43 tunes in the vette platform

Correct me if im wrong but my theory is the box has been dry for a while and has air pockets and we are finding it dificult to do the fill procedure properly as the brakes are ceased and cant hold the wheels from turning (car is on 4 stands)

The current OS in gearbox is the same as the 2011 comaro

Any help or advice is greatly apreciated

    Cheers, Chris

Well after some more research the conversion obdii wiring diagram was wrong and has been corrected.
The box now talks to the pcm now and is all good.
Still after a vette 2011 t43 tune file still as we are wiring the paddle shift system to the pcm not the bcm as we believe it is normally

You're going to have to make sure the T43 you have can run the 11 Vette TCM OS, some of these later modules dont play nice when you try to flash a different MY OS into them. Regardless, this type of flash needs to be done with Tis2Web, not EFILive (AFAIK).

Well I'm now curious why I need a vette tune when I can enable tutd and activate it via wired connection... The box is from a 2010 or 2011 ve commodore ss. Is it really only needed for the option to change it to wired or is there more to it?

Enabling the Tap Up / Down Option (D9602) and the Tap Up / Down Switch Type (D9603) are only part of the equation ... a fair bit more needs to be changed to get Tap Up / Tap Down working via a hardwire connection in a non-Corvette platform. This is why most DIY projects keep it simple by using a Corvette T43 calibration.

What else needs to be done, Taz? Wouldn't you be able to use the corvette paddles wired to pin 7 and enable tap shifting, as well as selecting "wired switch" for the switch type?

    Thanks,

Truck T43 operating systems will not allow the use of a Hardwired TUTD switch - no matter any / all changes you make to the calibration using tuning software.

Posting in here rather then starting my own thread. Does anyone have a corvette cal within the following OS range.

    24252573,24254909,24256025,24257135,24256065

I'd prefer the 24256025 but anything within range would be nice. Trying to get a hard wire tapshift working. I can see my request being shown in the logger from the buttons, but the trans wont change from 1st to 2nd while stationary. (only checking at idle for now)
