Default Setting Traction Control to be OFF all the time on a 2002 Manual Z06 .

    Hi all

I use my 2002 Z06 Corvette with manual transmission solely for racing purposes and would like the Traction control to be Off all the time. I know if I remove an ABS sensor the TC wont work, but I would like to keep the ABS on and the TC off.

I was looking at the {B1902} Torque Loss from Spark Retard

as well as the Torque Limiting parameters:

    {B1901} Max Allowed Engine Torque
    {B6601} Axle Torque Limiting
    {B6615} Max Torque, Front Axle
    {B6616} Max Torque, Rear Axle
{B6617} Max Torque, Front Prop Shaft
{B6618} Max Torque, Rear Prop Shaft
{B6619} Max Torque, Trans Input Shaft
{B6620} Max Torque, Trans Output Shaft
    {B0401} BTM Enable RPM
    {B0402} BTM Disable RPM
    {B1903} TCS Shift Duty Cycle
{B1904} TCS Delivered Torque Duty cycle
    {B1905} Stall Speed

This is what I have right now:

    Parameters Value
    {B1901} Max Allowed Engine Torque -580.000000 Ft-Lbs
    {B6601} Axle Torque Limiting Disable
    {B6615} Max Torque, Front Axle 41943039.003906 Ft-Lbs
    {B6616} Max Torque, Rear Axle 41943039.003906 Ft-Lbs
{B6617} Max Torque, Front Prop Shaft 41943039.003906 Ft-Lbs
{B6618} Max Torque, Rear Prop Shaft 41943039.003906 Ft-Lbs
{B6619} Max Torque, Trans Input Shaft 41943039.003906 Ft-Lbs
{B6620} Max Torque, Trans Output Shaft 41943039.003906 Ft-Lbs
{B0401} BTM Enable RPM 200.000000 RPM
{B0402} BTM Disable RPM 0.000000 RPM
    {B1903} TCS Shift Duty Cycle 13.007813 %
{B1904} TCS Delivered Torque Duty cycle 30.000000 %
    {B1905} Stall Speed 3000.000000 RPM

Is there any way to set these up to trick the TC system to never engage no matter what? Something similar to setting the MAF parameters so that the computer thinks the MAF failed so it goes MAP.

Thanks in advance to your reply.

    Best regards,

    Jorge

    Hi Jorge,

I haven't done this, but try playing with tables B6603,4,5 (set them to zero).

    Hi Joe

    Thanks for the quick reply

You mean the TCS Spark Retard, TCS Spark Retard Fast and TCS Spark Retard Torque Loss?

Will give it a try and let you know how it goes.

    Best regards,

    J
