Default 4BT with no check engine lights?

    Kind of an odd request,

Looking at swaping a 4BT Cummins engine into a 2000 GMC Sonoma 2.2 Flex fuel

Obviously this engine does not require a and ECU to run. I am interested in keeping the ECU for trans control, gauges etc. I will be able to provide the correct input to the ECU for engine speed, and TPS (anything else?). Is this something I could conceivably do with EFILive? I know you can disable codes for emissions, O2 sensors etc but can you strip it down to a point where it is not throwing codes for no injectors, coils, knock sensors etc?

I have access to EFILive though a co worker, just wondering if I should buy a license for this ECU.

    Thanks!

I've got a 2009 Silverado with a V-6. CEL comes and goes with no real pattern. Took it to the Chevy dealer in town, they change the left bank O2 sensor. I pull off the lot and the light comes on. Now they change the cam sensor.
