Default Cant read Katech E67 PCM

Working on a TA2 Katech built race car. 6.2L, non drive by wire, currently speed density, no O2s....Runs like crap. Try linking to it as an E67 PCM and it wont connect. V8 autodetect wont detect it either.....Is this PCM possibly totally blocked from aftermarket modification?

If that bad boy has a cable throttle, sounds like a COPO setup. If so, there is a good chance the E67 will be running MEFI 5 (or 5A) programming.

the oe E67 is not as flexable as the mefi version (24x, 58x, dist, man or elect throttle, move vvt cams in both directions, etc). Steve

That is interesting... I am guessing this is what MAST motorsports uses... I'll have to check....

Mefiburn is what most people use to read and program these. You can read the data stream with J1939.

Thing is... I have a customer that has a 502CID with a "marine efi" ecu made from mast.. there are certain RPM limiters which he is NOT allowed to change and such... his program is rather limited on what he can change or do...

It would be interesting if one were to have access to all the parameters needed.... Not that it's really affecting it's performance (9.4@151 is plenty fast), but... there are a couple of things to be done with that car....

    Thanks... very enlightening.

You can change any of the settings with the software. Steve

Did not know that, no wonder I've never been able to talk to them.
