    Default LS1B TAC Module Segment?

I've been working on my tune for about 6 months, I've but some serious time and research into this and still have problems. I switched from A4 to M6 in my 2005 Silverado, I was never able to find a manual tune for a v8 truck, my main problems has been idle flare on startup and idle surge when pressing the clutch in, no adjustments seemed to have any effect.

Recently I noticed that a 2005 Cadillac CTSV uses the same operating system, I swapped the segment for the fuel system and my fuel gauge works now, the idle flare and surge problem has been solved with the CTSv tune file. The only issue is the TAC module, pedal to the floor only shows 85% and if I hold wide open too long the TAC module defaults to idle only. Which segment do I swap to get the throttle system back working properly?

OK ... just want to make certain I understand what you have done ...

You are running a CTS-V tune in an OEM Silverado truck, and have segment swapped the truck fuel segment into the CTS-V tune, Yes ?

If this is the correct interpretation of what you have done ... post the original tune from the Silverado, and also post the current tune you are using ... will try and take a look ... closed this week for Christmas.

Thanks for the reply Taz, I am currently running a modified CTS-V tune, my fuel gauge did not work until I swapped my truck fuel segment to the CTS-V tune.

Here is the two tune files, CTSvsegment is the tune I am running right now. Thanks

The VIN in the truck tune is from a 4.8L, but the tune looks like it is setup for a 6.2L using a single knock sensor ?

Need a little more information about your actual setup, and what you are trying to achieve.

As built the truck was a 4.8 with a 4l60e, the engine now is a 6.2, transmission is a T56. Gen4 knock sensors did not detect any knock, that's a different problem for a different day.

What I am trying to achieve: The CTS-V tune does not work properly with the truck TAC module, wide open throttle only shows 82%. How can I make the CTS based tune work with my stock 2005 TAC module and pedal?

Why I want to use the CTSv based tune: The original factory tune (when used with the T56) for my truck has a problem with high idle on startup, also when coasting in neutral the engine RPM hangs around 1300rpm until you come to a stop, then the idle returns to commanded idle speed. No matter what changes I made to the various airflow tables has corrected the problem, a well known EFI Vendor was also unable to correct the high idle problem. The CTS tune does not have a problem with high idle, only problem I have with the CTS tune is the throttle system.

Roger that ... now I understand ... always worried that senility is just around the corner !!

Attached is a 2005 truck tune that was originally equipped with a manual transmission ... I have copied over most of the parameters from the CTS-V tune that you posted, as I take it that you have been tuning using this file.

Regarding an LS1-B PCM controlling Gen IV knock sensors - this is akin to the Cadbury Secret - only a handful of people have actually figured it out. The safest course of action (and what the majority of people do) is to use the Gen III knock sensors.

Full flash the attached tune - the TAC / TB should now work together - then tune from this starting point.
