Default v1.2 cable with v8 tune on lb7

My friend got an lb7 not too long ago so I threw some of my simple tunes on his truck for him. Now he bought some tunes from a big tuner and wants me to load them on his truck but the tunes are V8, Ive only used 7.5. I downloaded V8 so I could open the file but its saying it cant see the cable and that if a device is connected make sure its not being used by 7.5. I searched around and saw to try installing older drivers and that hasnt seemed to work... Can I convert that tuners file to 7.5 or is there any other way for me to be able to load that tune with my v1.2 cable?

The V8 software will not work with the v1.2 cable.
V7.5 should be able to load the same tune file so you can use your V1.2 cable, are you running a current version of V7.5?

just downloaded the latest 7.5 and tried opening the V8 tune and it says the file has specific settings that are not supported in 7.5...

    Post a screenshot.

You should still be able to flash the .ctz file using V7.
