    Default 5.3 --> 6.0 cal changes

    Any changes that need to be made to a 5.3/4L60 cal 12212156 OS when switching from 5.3 to 6.0? Injectors are the same, probably just change the cylinder volume and run a couple CalcVET sessions?
    Injectors are all the same, so no issue there, but I figure I'll just get the LQ4's VE into the 5.3 tune, change cyl volume, copy and paste timing tables then run a few tuning sessions. Both engines are '02, so damn near identical minus displacement and flexplate/spacer change.

    Anything I'm missing?
    Thanks guys

    Mike

    Cylinder volume may not really do anything (it seems to be a documentative parameter, I've seen it incorrect in various files)...

    yes, try Calc.VET

    ( use g*K/kPa units for VE )

    Cylinder volume comes into play when you view VE in % units... it does not do anything when viewing VE in g*K/kPa.

    ( VE in g*K/kPa directly provides "normalized" (for pressure/temperature) cylinder airmass at the operating point (MAP x RPM) regardless of cylinder volume or displacement )

    So I think I have my completed product for the swap, if someone could look it over I would appreciate it. extra sets of eyes and all.

    Going from the 98 L31 with 98 trans being run by 0411 12212156 with modified 02 Express cal.

    Swapping in the 04 LS1 with truck intake/accessories and staying with the 98 trans. Also swapping in a '96 2100 rpm converter from an S10. I have verified that this TC has the same spline count, EC3 logic and PWM control as well as the same type of clutch material as the TC that is currently installed.

    Running flex fuel injectors and regulator from an 02 Yukon, changed all the injector stuff as well as using the timing info from an '02 Camaro LS1/auto.

    I've also segment swapped my 'original' trans info from the express/tahoe cal into the '02 calibration because the trans is a 98 and it operates very well as it sits as well it making sense to control a 98 trans with the same logic, not using the 99-02 trans logic for a 98 trans.

    THanks guys

    finished product-->1998 Tahoe LS1 (12212156).tun

    current 0411/L31 Tahoe cal-->Tahoe_CURRENT.tun

    Set D0961 and D0962 to zeros to prevent interfering with the PT upshift/downshift tables (same as D0960).

    The L59 is the flex fuel 5.3, looks like they started in 02.
