E40 ECU issue PLEASE HELP

I have a GTO with a E40 ECU and put a LS3 crate motor in it. I herd using EFI Live it is possible to make the E40 ECU work with the ls3 reluctor and cam gear without using the lingenfelter box. TRUE/FALSE?

E40 runs LS2 having 24x/1x reluctors;

E38 runs LS2 and LS3 having 58x/4x reluctors;

( there were two different LS2's )

E40 will not run LS3 unless you use the LPE converter (or physically swap the reluctors).

thanks joecar, on a side n ote any chance the E38 and 40 E40 pins are the same? Maybe swap computers?

Without looking at wiring diagrams, I remember that E38 and E40 are pinned different.

Have you ever herd of people reconfiguring the e40 ecu to make it all work? wait4me says he has done it... but i havnt herd from him
