How to export and tune a E55 flash only supported ecu.

Hello

Im new to autocal/flashscan.

Our dealer have read with autocal, a E55 ecu, wich is flash only supported.
He have sent the readout to me, (saved from the scan and tune sw), because it didnt show up in the efilive explorer as a read file.

The filename of the read file was E55.ctz and file size is 933kb.

I have 2 questions.
1. How can i export a file , so i can modify it in any other external editing software, and how do i import the file again before saving it for my customers autocal.
2. When i modify the file in any other software, do i need to do a checksum correction on the file?

You can't ....

You are asking how to hack EFILive's proprietary software ... this is protected by copyright, and hacking this would likely result in a law suit.

Actually editing is actually supported by efilive when using third party tools.
Its stated on the main site for use when only read and write of tune files is supported.

Question is how to convert file formats!?

The modifying is no problem at all,
But the question is how to convert the file, from an autocal file, to a bin file, so we can import it into a thirdparty mapping software.?

Well the short answer is you can't really use the reads as is. The idea behind offering any form of support for those type of ECM's in the first place was really for flashing. People use some third party software to edit a tune, import it into EFILive for flashing via passthrough or remote flashing via Autocal's. On ECM's like those Bosch ones we can convert the .ctz file in to a raw bin, but, there is specific rules to this. If it is an ECM EFILive supports actual tuning for then forget it, we also do this as a free service for customers so sending in 50Mb of reads isn't going to win you any friends either. If you have a few of these E55 tunes you need converted so you can use some 3rd party editing software then send support@efillive.com an Email with the details.
