Default 06 cummins rail pressure hanging!!!!! BAD!!!!!

so I loaded a pretty basic tune, basically some more rail pressure, timing and duration. Go and drive it and at about 1400-2000rpm with about 5-15% throttle, let off suddenly and rail pressure hangs up for about 5 seconds. Adjusted the rail pressure down at that range and no change. Tried messing with the FCA pids and not any real change. Tune was started off a stock tune on EFI live tune library. Any ideas???? sorry don't have a log on hand but can get one

How far down rpms did you change rail pressure?

At first I just smoothed out the spikes down low but after the first test drive I returned it back and only adjusted above 2000rpm

I would load the same tune in but fresh unmolested and see how it runs, then adjust rp higher rpms and higher mm3.

Good luck, with tuning the "scientific method" will help.

Rail pressure MAY not be what your experiencing hang from....it may be the effect, not the cause. Look to your pulse again.....
