I have the converter locking in the top of second. I have given it permission to shift with the converter locked, but it still unlocks, shifts into 3rd, and relocks. What do I need to look at to keep the converter locked for the 2-3 shift?

What torque converter do you have...?
The PCM may be deciding to unlock regardless.
I have a Circle D triple disk.
Mine use to do that for 3rd to 4th. For some reason after heads and cam it stays locked from 3-4. Never touched a trans table at all.
