Default Enable Tap UP Tap Down in Engine SWAPs using corvette tcm tune and external switchs

Been searching alot about this and couldnt get a concrete or complete info on this. So far i found i need the corvette TCM tune. and i find a diagram.

The diagram shows 2 paddles, can i reduce the circuite and leave just one button for upshift and other for downshift like in one of the diagrams a atached.

It shows 3 resistors, 8.25K, 4.42K and 1.5K, do i just ask for a resistor like that? because i seen some resistors are like 1/4W or 1/2W or something like that????

Lets say i finish the circuit, and wired it, and writed the TCM corvette tune. To activate the TUTD function what is needed? just move the shifter from D one step down?? it will be M mode?

If anyone can help i will really apreciate it. i have installed some 6L80E and i would like to be able to use the TUTD thanks

I don't know for sure, but 1/4W will probably be more than ok.

400ss - thanks so much for continuing to share your 6L80E swaps. I have been trying to follow along as people have shared information regarding these swaps. Could you confirm which year of Corvette OS you are using in the TCM? I've read that people are using the 2009 OS to get the TUTD, but am not sure if any of the 2010+ OS's would also work.

another info about 6L80E swaps, i recently done 2 5.3L 6L80E, i can confirm that 08 VIN PCM can work perfectly with 07-08-09-10 6L80E model/tunes. if you use a 11 6L80E with a 08 PCm , trans will not activate reverse, or drive.. i think all corvette A6 will enable TUTD on M mode.. the car that im going to try the TUTD function, is a 2001 XJ Cherokee, 5.3L NON VVT and deleted the DOD, it has a 08 VIN/tune so i will try to use a 09-10 corvettte A6 tune

So a 2008 E38 ECM can work with any 2007 through 2010 6L80E TCM (T43)? The "if you use a 10 6L80E with a 08 PCm, trans will not activate reverse, or drive" statement appears to contradict your results in the previous sentence. Again, thanks for all the sharing you have done with these great swaps!

Thank you, I corrected , my mystake. im gonna try to explain a litle more why im saying it works.

Did an egine swap using a 5.3L VVT and DOD, so i used if a remember a 11 E38 and the trans was a 6L80E out of a 13 camaro, i just wired it and it worked fine..
another one was a 5.3L NO VVT and DOD, so i used a 08 E38, deleted DOD, the trans was a 2011, it didnt show any engine or trans code, but it didnt activate reverse or drive, only way it activated was if i turned on the car on Neutral, then changue it to Reverse and it activated, then changue it to drive and accelerate it a litle and it did activated drive, but if you stay parked it deactivated again, so changue the VIN using TIS to a 2010 and it worked perfectly. i have done other swaps, and i havent any problems using 07-08 E38 tunes with a 10-09-08 TCM tunes.. sorry if i cant explain myself, but i dont speak english very well, sometimes i dont use the correct words or most of the time

I am running a 2013 Camaro SS LS3/6L80 in my 68 C10 truck. I have a Speartech harness and a ShrifterSix paddle shifter setup. The paddles work great when I'm in M (sport) mode. When I touch on of the paddles it activates the TUTD feature and allows me to paddle shift the transmission. I can even hold the + paddle for 2 seconds and it will take it out of TUTD and and put the tranmission back in sport mode so that the transmission automatically shifts. However, the one feature I haven't been able to get to work is the temporary activation of the paddles in the "D" mode. I know on the 2012+ Camaros/Corvettes, you can press one of the paddle shifters and it will temporarily allow them to work (TUTD) in the D selector position. But, the transmission will eventually go back to shifting the transmission automatically. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Did you ever figure out how to set up the TU/TD resistors?
