ALL GM's computers from 2005 or so are coded in metric, so always assume metric, the conversion to imperial is handled by EFILive. However, this is a special case because these numbers are not normal, they are floating point numbers which means what you see is what you get, there is no scaling to MPH, KMH, DegF, DegC etc, it is what it is. The numbers are defined in an axis and that is what EFILive is showing.

That means we can change that axis? there is an n/v ratio set to 1 so doing that means kph... but one could back calculate rpm this way... newer ECUs use RPM as the axis from factory

No, you can't change the function used, it is either RPM or KM/H.

The Answer is yes. It is Safe. Try to keep the 0 TPS like stock.
