    Default Update: Jun 13, 2014

The June 2014 public pre-release software is now available.

Please download and install both the V7.5 and V8 software packages.

    Download V7.5 Software (92 MB)
    Download V8 Software
    (45 MB)

    Release Notes:
    Release Notes.

There have been no changes to the firmware since the previous release on June 10. However, the FlashScan/AutoCal V2 firmware has been re-issued for this update, the version number remains at V2.07.60, but the firmware date has been updated to June 12, 2014. You are not required to re-install the firmware for this update.

    Fixed Issues:

    1. A40 tune files, when loaded into the V8 software will now correctly show the OS check sum as "N/A" when the check sum cannot be computed (instead of showing the check sum as incorrect).
    2. E20 tune files can now be loaded into the V7 and V8 software correctly.

    Known Issues:
Please post issues, questions, clarifications (large or small) in this thread.
As issues are reported and confirmed they will be re-posted as "Known Issues" below.

    1. After deleting any user defined calculated PIDs, attempting to open a log file that uses the deleted calculated PIDs results in an application failure with the message: "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information." and the EFILive application crashes. Temporary workaround, add the calculated PIDs back into the EFILive software prior to attempting to open the log file (fixed in next update).
    2. Opening some late model E69 files may result in the following error: "Could not convert variant of type (UnicodeString) into type (Double)". Workaround: download the attached E69.zip file and extract the enclosed file (E69.dat) into the folder: \Program Files\EFILive (x86)\V8\Controllers\Identify (or \Program Files\EFILive\V8\Controllers\Identify if the (x86) folder does not exist). Overwrite the existing E69.dat file. (fixed in next update).

    Version Numbers:
After installing the latest release you should have the following software, boot block, firmware versions installed:
    EFILive V7 software: V7.5.7 Build 258
To view the installed version, select Help->About (in the V7 Scan or Tune software).

    EFILive V8 software: V8.2.2 Build 251
To view the installed version, select Help->About (in the V8 Scan and Tune software).

    Boot Block: V2.07.07 (Feb 07, 2014
    )
To view/update the Boot Block, Click the [Check Firmware] button in the V8 Scan and Tune software.

    Firmware: V2.07.60 (Jun 12
    , 2014)
To view/update the Boot Block, Click the [Check Firmware] button in the V8 Scan and Tune software.

No calibration updates for Cummins, but a bug which caused some 6.7 flash attempts to fail has been fixed.
All the major updates and bug fixes are listed in the "Release Notes" link in the first post.

I dunno if this is the wrong place to post this, if it is, I'm sorry.

I would love to have this Allison A50 OS supported. Loving the new capabilities of the pre-release though!! Good Work!

I think cal and full flash capabilities were added in this update for a A50, but the calibration editing is soon to come in a future update..... atleast thats how i understand it.

I had one question that Cindy answered in the previous update thread....I didnt see her response until after the thread had been closed so Ill clarify it here

    https://forum.efilive.com/showthread...l=1#post207067

I just updated to this newest June 13th release, build 258, and still dont see any of the new TCC slip inhibit tables (D5231, D5233) for 15175854 TCM OS. Or are those being added in the next update? I just hope 15175854 doesnt get left behind with these crucial new TCC tables.

    thanks

Didn't Cindy say those tables don't exist in the earlier OSes?

I think she was only referring to D5232, TCC apply slip inhibit....this table only exists on 2004.5+ LLY TCM OS's. But the two main tables, D5231 and D5233, are mapped/visible in EFILive on every other TCM OS EXCEPT 15175854.

I would have to assume D5231 and D5233 exist in 15175854, because 15175854 has the same TCC lockup problems that all the other OS's do.

15175854 must have some other unique stuff about it. Because at least looking at file size, 15175854 is 723kb...15079907 is 789kb.....15172881 is 823kb......15184109 is 872kb (this is 2003, first year of ODLO activated via Class 2 data).....15196784 (2004.5-2005 LLY) is 902kb......

Gone through a few LML OS's and noticed that table B1108 and B1111 are the exact same table? It only lets you have one or the other open at the same time, but you can edit them seperately but they are labled the same "Smoke Limiter, Regen 2" Tho I think B1111 should be "Smoke Limiter, Regen 3". Just wanted to make sure this wasn't a typo/mistake.
