What version of V7 are you using? Please list the build number.

Note: if the file you are using is created in the current pre release and is being attempted to be opened in an older software version you will be restricted. Ctz file functionality has changed and are no longer backwards compatible.

    Cheers

Are you still having issues even after updating or is it now resolved?

You will need to speak with your professional tuner and determine what version of software he is using.

If the tune was created in a more recent version, you will get that error, the files are not backwards compatible between versions. Build 260 is the current version https://forum.efilive.com/showthread...te-Jun-21-2014

What vehicle is the tune for?

    Cheers

It's not often that software becomes backwards incompatible, but sometimes it is necessary.

V7 software is being replaced. As functions are developed for V8, if we can port those developments into V7 for our FlashScan v1 customers to make a more stable and sound product for when product support for V7 is retired we will.

.ctz file formats have been in use for a number of years (about 3 years) Given the dual purpose of .ctz files (with V7 and V8), and the distinct advantages .ctzs offer, it consumes too much time to support a similar function with less features like .tun files that only serve a small proportion of our customer base.

We understand some people don't like change, which is why the features were concurrently available for a number of years bore this retirement.

    Cheers
