I have created and installed the DSP5 tune which is currently in the ecm/truck. The hard drive failed on my laptop and now when attempting a "read" the $0538 DSP5 Operating Systems cannot be read error pops up. Any suggestions?

You can't read a DSP5 tune.
DSP on LBZ/LMM trucks is written to a 'non-readable' portion of the ECM.
You may flash over the file, but you cannot read it.

Big D,
Just yesterday I flashed a tune from the spade onto the ECM,
drove the truck = everything good..
When I tried to flash the ecm again with a different code it threw the code0538 as well,
I have to date installed EFI live and all the updates from the site and updated the software on my 1 yr old laptop.
The truck acts like its in stock mode....where do I go from here,,,,,,
