Log GM.EOPS (volts) and CALC.EOP (psi)
It is only valid on vehicles that have the EOPS wired to the PCM (not the IPC), i.e. Corvette.
Isn't EOPS for Pressure? I'm looking for Temperature.
Thanks
Ah, sorry, my bad, I was speed-reading...
The standard Corvette does not have an engine oil temp sensor.
I can display oil temperature on the driver info center (DIC). I found this a while ago (don't remember where) but being an EFIlive newbie it doesn't mean anything to me:
-------
GM Oil Temp: set up custom PID 221154, unit C, max/min 215/-40, equation A-40. It's not exactly correct but it's usually within 5-10 degrees on my DIC. I think this is part of the GM extended PID set that you can access thru the Torque main menu.
-------
I'll take a closer look at the 2000 Y-car wiring diagrams... it might be a function of the IPC... but we'll see what I find.
I took a look through the factory repair manuals. They show the engine oil temp sensor connected directly to the instrument cluster. It does talk about connecting a scan tool to observe the oil temp parameter in the IPC data list.
I saw that...
since the EFILive scantool logs pids from the PCM only, you wont be able to see the engine oil temp pid.
Bummer.
Thanks!
