    Default 5.3 manual swap

    got someone who swapped a manual transmission into their truck, need the tuning changed over, i have never swapped segments before in the transmission, i will get more info on his truck,

    2004 silverado 5.3l i was going to use the 2006 silverado tune from tunefiledepot as there's a 4.8 manual and 5.3 auto with same operating system, but the manual tune file wont open.

    I do not want to under take this if it's over my head, i havent touched a gas vehicle a few years, the dirtymax is where i spend my time.

    Okay so I guess it is a turbo 400 transmission not a manual. But a guy needs to use the manual tune because the t400 transmisssion is not electronically controlled. Has the blue red PCM connections

    Most guys who do that type of trans swap just delete the trans codes. If you use a manual tune the PCM will be looking for input from the CPP switch, which the truck won't have anyways. Unless he uses a VSS equipped TH400, he won't have a speedo either.
