Having problem with scan tool. When I try to read pcm from efilive app, I get ecm not detected. If I unplug machine and use just flashscan v2 I can read pcm. Also upgraded config files and boot firmware

What year/vehicle/model...?
Which V7/V8 build versions...?
Are you trying to read ECm using V8...? Did you rightclick on the ECM button (large square button on LHS) and select the ECM type...?
Can you post the ECM file read using just V2 here...
2010 Chevy camaro 1ss
Latest version on both 7.5.7(build 262) & 8.2.2 (build 258)
Tried v8 with no success. I need to update vin and perform vats relearn so I needed v7 tune tool.
Ill try to copy this weekend.

Using the scan tool are you selecting the connect first before trying to log anything?
I had a brain fart one night long time ago where it would say this but I was forgetting to click the connect button first then start logging.
using tune tool but yes
