    Default tranny logging

Anyone know what parameters I should use with Live to monitor my transmission? I am having it rebuilt for the 2nd time in less than 2 years. I am thinking it something to do with line pressure and heat. I would like to do some logging to monitor the tranny for awhile. Any help would be appreciated. I have a TCI Street Fighter 3000 stall converter with the 4L60E. I am running a Hayden cooler in front of the radiator.

Under the following systems (drop down list box selection):

    Temperature:
    - GM.TFT

    Transmission:
    - GM.GEAR
    - GM.TFMCUR
    - GM.TFMDES
    - GM.TFMDC
    - GM.TFMPRS
    - GM.TCCMODE
    - GM.TCCTIME
    - GM.TCCTIME
    - GM.TCCSLIP
    - GM.TSTATE05 (for hot transmission flag)
    - GM.TSTATE07 (for max press due to malf)

Plus any other "normal" PID required such as SAE.TP, SAE.RPM, SAE.VSS etc.

As you log more data and zero in on any problems, you may need to log other parameters as well. You can see each status item displayed by each of the GM.TSTATExx PIDs by right clicking on the GM.STATExx PID and and selecting "More info".

    Regards

If you log the following you can index the pressure tables and the shift tables (scan->tune cursor linking):

    SAE.VSS
    SAE.RPM
    SAE.TP
    SAE.MAP
    SAE.MAF
    SAE.ECT
    SAE.IAT
    GM.DYNAIR
    GM.TFT
    GM.GEAR
    GM.TCCMODE
    GM.SHIFTLAST
    GM.SHIFTDELAY
    GM.TFMPRS
    GM.TRQENG

GM.DYNAIR is included so you can sanity check GM.TRQENG.

If GM.TRQENG goes too low, check your VE table.

And include the TSTATES that Paul mentioned and some of the others, as fits in 24 channels (so you can BB log).

If you suspect slipping keep an eye on GM.TRQENG, GM.TFMPRS and GM.SHIFTLAST.

Thanks for the hlep Blacky. Did you intentionally put GM.TCCTIME in twice? Is something else supposed to be in the place of it?
