    Default 2012 cummins tables

EFILive and cummins is way more confusing to me than the Duramax tables. I was trying to change my vgt position at idle. I looked throughout the tune and did not see anything saying vgt position. I saw 4 for minimum position and 4 for maximum position. 1 minimum and 1 maximum for engine brake on. I logged my position at idle and its at 87%. there is no table that says 87% at idle. What really throws me off is that all the "Turbo maximum position altitude range 1-4" maps show maximum of 54% now why am i getting 87% when logging it. Anyone know whats going on? Am I looking at the wrong place?

VGT control on the Cummins is very complex, the tuners have found that just manipulating the min / max tables 'does the job'.
The Cummins seems to calculate the final position based on desired flow rather than a raw position. In the 2008-2009 ECM's we did add in a number of those flow tables but ultimately people seemed happy with just the min/max tables.
I do plan on adding in those airflow tables for another update but there is so many to add we decided not to do it for the initial release.

The 'factory' logging capabilities are not great on the 2010+, we are working on EDA for these which will give you better logging than what you are used to on your Duramax.

I see. Well its just something different for me. I give u props cause for the end user seems confusing, I can only imagine when you're reversing these PCM's the headache it can be.

Thanks for the clarification I will mess with those tables.

I am of the opposite, I feel more comfortable with the 4th gen ram than a LMM at this point..

I must confess I prefer to work with the Cummins ECM than Bosch.

I really apreciate the fact that you guys went ahead on 2010-15 cummins ECMs. I know there is more in there than what we've been given access to (other tune devices).

I've been moving some things around and it's just not responding too well. I'm thinking that since I have a CEL the truck is currently running on tables that I can't manipulate, that are not yet accessible in this release I'm using.

The 2012's hated EGR unplug. Are those the codes you are referring to?
