this is what im getting when trying the change the vin and clear the DTC's

Whats werid is that i can change the vin with out clearing codes BUT it will change back to the old vin after some time... 10 min or so.

Vin is irrelevant on CMC/CME/CMD controllers

If this is the guy I was talking to yesterday, hes trying to swap a CMD computer in and although the change vin works for a bit it will swap back when its powered down. It seems like the change is only getting stored in the ram and not into the non volatile memory.
