Codes I getting while loading with v2

Ok so far I haven't been able to read or load a file to or from my v2 without having the laptop connected.
When trying to read my stock file I get config file empty.
When trying to load a tune I get $0502 script file not found.

Any help with this? Thanks

Also, you have to first update you V7 and V8 software, then start V8 S&T and click Check Firmware and update the firmware.

Thanks, I had already done all the updates and after reading your setup I got it to load a tune from the v2. Hopefully I'll have a tune from my tuner shortly and I can try to log.
