04 5.3 turbo 400 swap

My buddy just put a turbo 400 behind 5.3 silverado with a 2600 stall. Of course he's getting a hand full of codes and I know my way around efi love pretty good. But it has been a few years since I have actually used it. Just to make this process a little easier I figures I would ask you guys for some assistance. I have an idea where I want to start but I want to hear what you guys recommend what the best approach is. Thanks Kyle.

I would segment swap it over to a manual and then just tune as it had a manual trans.
