Please post your software and firmware versions so we can verify what you are running.
Open V8 software with your FlashScan connected and note the software version on the main screen in the About button. Select Check Firmware to obtain your V2 Firmware and bootblock versions.
Open V7 Tune Tool and Select Help->About to check your V7 software version.

What vehicle are you attempting to connect with?

How are you reading the controller? V7 software, V8 software, FlashScan V2?
How are you trying to log the controller?

For your second vehicle, you cannot save changes to your tune file unless you enter your FlashScan V2 registration details in V7 (From the V7 Tune Tool, select Help -> Register EFILive) otherwise you must have FlashScan connected to your PC before you launch the V7 Tune tool.

    Cheers

Where are you located by the way? Time zones might make this a drawn out process if we are in opposites.
I no longer monitor the forum, please either post your question or create a support ticket.

Your V7 software is out of date, unless there is a typo in your post. The build that matches the V8 software you have installed is dated May 01, 2015 and is V7.5.7, Build 282

How are you reading the controller? V7 software, V8 software, FlashScan V2? There are 3 different methods to read a controller for your LS1. Are you connecting FlashScan to your PC and using the V7 Tune tool to read your ECM? Are you connecting FlashScan to your PC and using the V8 Scan and Tune Tool to read your ECM? Are you only connecting FlashScan to your LS1 PCM to read? Can you please also include the EXACT error message that you are getting, include a screen shot if you can.

How are you trying to log the controller? There are 2 methods available to log your controller - either via the V7 Scan Tool with FlashScan connected to your vehicle or via FlashScan in standalone mode.

If you are using only FlashScan connected to the vehicle, did you program the FlashScan first to be configured for reading and logging?

    Cheers

Your original post said you were having problems reading the controller, at no point did you describe a flash issue until this post.

Your flashing issue is listed as a known issue in the current software

    Issue 6:
After a full-flash of an LS1B or E54 (LB7) controller, subsequent flashes may fail with the $0333 "Security Access Denied" error. The Seed and Key have incorrectly been set to $0000 and $0000 by the EFILive full-flash procedure.
    Workaround:
An update to correct the fault will be made available ASAP (hopefully in the next 24-48 hours)
Until then, when using the V8 pass-thru software to read or flash a controller, check both the "Try Alt Keys" and "Assume Lock May be Faulty" checkboxes.

You can try the workaround described above, and subscribe to the known issues thtead, which is where an issue resolution will be posted when available. https://forum.efilive.com/showthread...Public-Release
