Mine used to work too on a 2007 E38 and my new 2014 E38 and now the PIDS show unsupported for me too. This includes Spark DMA pids. I think maybe something bust as it was definitely supported before.
I was going to check with another laptop, but it seems I am not alone.

The DMA PIDs are defined per operating system, not per controller type. So the DMA PIDs that are already supported/defined for older E38 operating systems are probably not yet supported/defined in the latest E38 operating systems. When sending in issues related to unsupported DMA PIDs it would be good if you could include the ECM's operating system number.

Three years to the day and this still hasn't been resolved? Running the same operating system as the original poster and having the same issues. My customer is over 100 miles away. Anybody else?

Use the pids SAE.LAMBDA instead of the AFR pids

( do you need a BEN calc pid for that...? )

    Hey Joe,

Your always to the rescue and your help is always appreciated!

I did tune it in lamda after I couldn't get the AFR working.

The problem I still had was I needed the pid E38.APCYL_DMA for my spark tables.
That's the heading at the top of my spark table that allows me to track across my
spark map with my logged file.

What I just can't understand is why EFI Live Developers can't incorporate these pids into our software
after someone has made them aware of their short comings. The same goes with the cax files for transient
fueling. Everyone knows how important those are with the big injectors everyone is running on their
turbo cars these days. A lot of us can't write a cax file and really that's what we are paying the developers to do.

I'm off my soap box now. Just wanting my EFI Live Tuning Software to let me tune cars the way it was designed.

Thanks for your help Joe. If you have a workaround for the air flow pid i'm interested.

I know some pids/tables are hard to find.

    I'll take look to see what cax's I have;

and I'll look at my list of calc pids for an E38 airflow pid (based on VE) (might have to calculate it).
