    Default Default Metric PIDs List

Hello, Newbie here. Recently after updating software/firmware/bootblock etc with my V2 tried to datalog and all the preselected pids lists are missing. Can someone point me in the direction of a tutorial to allow me to reset the factory default metric pids list. Thx.

In scantool, goto PIDs tab, click the open-multiple-folder icon, browse down until you see Default Metric.vdb, select it, click Ok.

You should backup your V2 config files prior to updating, then restore afterwards.

The file that has all of your PID lists is "options.txt".

    1. plug your V2 in to the computer.
    2. open EFILive "Scan & tune".
    3. Select "F5: BBX".
    4. Select "Read" to get the current list.
    5. In the "BBL Enabled Controlers" box, select the list you want to alter.
    6. Select the "V7" button on the right of the above box.
    7. in the "Default Dashboard" section, choose your required dash page.
    8. save all the settings.
    9. save the "options.txt" file to the PC as a backup.
    10. Program the controller.

When performing a firmware update, backup the options.txt file first, then after the upgrade, use the "format CONFIG files system" under the "program" options to clear the current settings. Then open the saved "options.txt" file and reprogram the V2.

Joe, I followed your directions could not locate the file you referenced either on the V2 SD card or EFILive Scan and Tune software files. My appologies I can't explain what happened to the .vdb file. I followed swingtans post directions and appear to have been able to create, save and back up the option.txt file that was missing from both the V2 BBX and EFILive Scan and Tune software. I was able to make a short datalog for my tuner today with what appears to be the reset Default Metric PIDS list, I'll advise my status when I hear back. Thanks Folks for the help so far.
