    Default 2012 cummins data logging.

Hey everyone, and thanks in advance. I just deleted and tuned my truck. I want to get a data log done so my tuner can look it over. The only directions I have are for my 2008 that I just sold. So I followed those, started and stopped the recording. Normally after you stop it, it give you the option to save the log. Nothing popped up. I would also like to add that I have searched about 20 pages of posts on the forum trying to find them.

So I guess what I'm asking is, can someone tell me the step by step directions on how to do it for a 2012 cummins 2500 automatic or post a link on my thread as to where I can get them?

Once again thanks again in advance.

You should be prompted to save the data log after stopping it. Are you recording using the red button to start and stop the log? Are you using v7.5?

Yes, red button to start and stop. I did this several times on my 08. But for some reason having trouble with the 2012. When prompted which ecm do I select?

You will need to select the CMD controller for your 2012 cummins.

Now I don't have the laptop in front of me, but my 08 was the 2100 option correct?

One other question. Is there a way to check and make sure the csp5 switch is working?

Yes. There are two basic ways. The first is by watching the LED on the back of the switch. It will flash the tune number selected after turning the knob. What you are actually seeing is the feedback from the ECM showing that the tune has been changed. The second is to watch the CSPTUN_F PID when data logging. It will display the tune number.
