2014 Malibu, startup issue

2014 Malibu 2.0, E39A computer

I wrote a starter tune for customer. He was able to flash using his laptop and scan and tune but said he was unable to flash it with his Autocal, 0502 error.

Once flashed, the car starts and immediately dies. If he keeps his foot on the gas just a touch, it runs smooth and fine but once the pedal is fully released it does. Thinking security issue?

Once the factory tune is reloaded using scan and tune, it runs fine.

I'm a very experienced tuner, this isn't an issue caused by the changes I've made. I just want to confirm why there's a 0502 issue on the tune file, and whether there's any file corruption issue? I've released the security settings on both of these files.

Support was emailed but haven't heard back in several days, so I wanted to post instead. Please help EFI!

Which file is which (is one of them the factory tune)...?

The Overkill file is mine, the other is stock

I can't see the reason why...

try this: start with stock and edit back in 2 or 3 changes at a time, when the problem shows up, take a step back and analyze the changes.
