Error $0333 when flashing tune on V2 out of no where...Help

All of a sudden I cant flash or read tunes on my V2 without getting the $0333 code.

What would cause this all of a sudden? How do I fix it?

The only thing I did different was open the original file from my PCM and save it as an up to date file so I could full flash it in, then cal flash the most recent update into place so I could get the file size back down along with updating the tune.

I have noticed that no matter what I do I can't update the firmware on the V2 to the newest *.*.91 I think, mine ends in 82 but using V8 it says that is up to date even after downloading the most recent everything else.

PS: Tried to upload trace files ending in htx, but said invalid file extension. How do I upload a trace file then?

Directly download and install V7 and V8 from here: Sep-2015-EFILive-Public-Pre-Release

( i.e. do a fresh install of the new V7/V8 build rather than an update )

and then start V8 S&T and click Check Firmware.

Well I did everything posted and got the firmware to update to its latest version. But I'm still having the $0333 error and cant do any reading or flashing.

One odd thing I've noticed that may or may not have to do with any of this, is that since I reinstalled everything if I have the EFI Explorer open, or V8 Scan and Tune open, and open V7.5 Tuning Software it opens in Demo mode.

I realize it says to close the explorer when the demo mode starts, but this never used to happen to me.

I just recently updated and had all sorts of problems.

Try updating all you software, then reformatting the v2. I had to completely reformat the memory for it to work again without tossing error codes.

Also check the alt keys box when trying it. I had the same issue a while back and that was the culprit. for some reason i always have to use the alt keys now
