    Default open loop tune help

    finally got my my friends Camaro with 414 lq4 engine idleing and driving good with some help of another tuner and since then its been running rich over the entire range and I have been trying to take fuel out of the entire ve table to get into the ballpark of my commanded afr and it doesn't seem to change the readings as much as I have been taking it out of the ve table. I am beginning to think there is something else influencing the fueling. can someone make sure I changed this to full open loop and if not what do I need to change to take full control of the ve table. No maf by the way.

    If you're trying to tune this in open loop, then you're not quite in open loop...

    B3647 contains cells which are stoich (EQR 1)... in OL the COS will do STFT trimming on these cells...

    this is known as Semi-Open Loop (because it's not quite open loop);

    to avoid this, set the stoich cells in B3647 to say EQR 0.99 or EQR 1.02.

    Also note:

    in the presence of a MAF DTC (because you want SD), the COS still allows the HO/LO adaptive spark to function.

    So if I change all afr cells to something other that 14.63 to say 14.2 then it will affective make it open loop?
