    Default Pilot question logging

So I made a VP tune sort of just to see if I was completely able to turn off pilot. When I log real time data on the VP tune it show a timing figure for pilot but it does show 0 us. So I assume it is turned off because 0 us but why is it showing a timing degree?

Because the ECM still reads all of the tables for pilot injection, you've just told it to inject no fuel.
