    Default Elevated Idle

Has anyone run into an issue with an elevated idle on a 5.9? After building a tune that runs awesome on a truck for some odd reason after running for about 2 minutes after sitting and cooling down it elevates up to 1000 rpms in P or N. I have changed all my idle tables to 750 rpms and still no change.

Any suggestions to look into? Rail pressure and injection of any sort are all stock on the bottom end.

What is the coolant temp when it does this? Sounds like Idle Speed vs Coolant Temp is kicking in.

I had the sensor reading -40 but all my idle tables are at 700 RPMs.

-40 would make it idle at 1000 RPM unless you have edited D5751 (in CSP5). Anything 30 degrees F and below will do that as will 225 F and above.

I have those edited to be at 750 rpms up until 225 where it ramps to 1000rpms.

I'm thinking of trying a different OS to see if it still does it.

Well I tried a different OS, CSP tune based off the stock file and neither changed the higher idle after it warms up a little. But if I reflash the original stock tune it will idle fine. On the other tunes I flashed in I didn't touch any of the idle tables.

Is there anything that would cause this in the conversion from stock to CSP tunes?

Post the tune that is causing you problems.

Here try this file. Changed the following: edited D5750 #6 = 215 Your original was 182.6 which is why your idle would jump up to 1000 RPM
Idle speed vs Coolant temp as originally suggested. it was the Axis defined.
