    Default Commdoore L76 (e38) and 4L80e (T42) issues

    Hi Guys,

Have setup a vehicle with a E38 ecu and T42 trans ecu from a VZ Commodore L76/4L60e

The vehicle is shifting gears and vehicle is very sluggish although im getting Lost comm codes between the ecu and tcm, Uxxx codes

    I have installed a T42 trans tune for a 4L80e originally 4L60E

I have also modded the harness and wired it up as if it is a 4L80e to suit a T42, inc wiring the external ISS and swap pin in the Big round connector etc

but I am not getting any engine or trans data from the ecu or tcm while using the efilive scanner, can read and write all ok. and also can watch live data with hptuners scanner, but have no vehicle speed....

Do I need to run the 4L60E tune file and swap data?

Anyone else had any similar issues?

    Cheers Mat

Engine and box are not in a commodore anymore, and I still need to tune the engine, so if I need to change the operating system in either the Ecu or Tcm I can do that before I start tuning it.

Your WOT upshift/downshift MPH parameters are upside down.

TCC throttle release for 4th gear should also be 100% everywhere.

The 4L80 T42 calibration you are using is from a 2007 2500 Truck, and was posted on this Forum years ago. It has communication issues (i.e. it doesn't communicate) with most ECM operating systems.

A 2008 or 2009 4L80 T42 calibration from a 2500 Van would likely work - I am not certain as you are using a Holden E38 OS (which I never use).
