My V2 will no longer read codes. I can hook the laptop up using the V2 as a pass through and read codes. It clears codes with no issue. Any ideas? Also I updated it to the latest firmware and there was no change.

Did you re-program your V2 for DTC's...?
In V8 S&T goto BBX then goto DTCs, and checkmark the DTC's you're interested in, then Save to file, then Program to V2.
I'll try that, just strange that it just started this out of the blue. It's be doing fine for 8 years. Will updating the firmware cause it to no longer read codes until going through the procedure you mentioned?

If after updating firmware the config space got reformatted and not programmed...
