    Default T87 Allison Transmission Tuning

For those of you who don't subscribe to our newsletter....we've just released the below:

To complement EFILive's LML Duramax engine tuning software, T87 6 Speed Allison transmission tuning is now available.

This initial tuning release delivers key transmission parameters including shift speeds, TCC control and shift times. While the LML engine controller has a read restriction in place, the T87 transmission controller does not. Customers can expect read times of approximately 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Both full flash and calibration only flash options exist with calibration flashing taking just 30 seconds.

Controller locking for tuners to restrict access to tune file information has been developed for this controller. Tuners can activate Auto-Lock by applying the EFILocker Custom Operating System Patch.

The GM Transmission Supported Vehicles page has been updated. T87 Allison tuning software is a FREE software upgrade for existing customers who update their software to the July 2016 Beta release or later.

Beta software can be found here https://forum.efilive.com/showthread...a-Test-Release

So I have been playing with this a bit but something must be missing. Since I like the way tow haul mode works I thought I would make regular mode work close to that. I copied all upshift and downshift parameters from tow haul and pasted to regular mode. Only ones I didn't mess with were shift timing for individual gears. It still shifts way different in tow haul. It hangs all shifts just past 2200rpm at light throttle in T/H. Maybe the engine controller has some influence on T/H mode ? Or are there light throttle RPM maps not developed yet ?
    Thanks, Jeff

We do not read the segments from the external watchdog CPU.

    We do read:
    Operating system (incl Boot)
    Transmission
    Diagnostic
    System

    We don't read:
    2nd Operating system
    2nd Calibration
I no longer monitor the forum, please either post your question or create a support ticket.

So there is no way to increase pwm on tcc ? If not ,how can we ever expect the converters to live behind 1k of tourqe?

The 67 or whatever that number is in the tune is the max or 100% duty cycle on the solenoid valve. Numbers above that wont gain you anything except maybe a burned out coil

If you want better holding power you need a better converter
