    Ok so as far as selecting pids, it's not necessary to select the calculated ones. Such as stft ben or wideband Ben? Because adding the e38 pids under scan and tune doesn't include them. If I don't select them how can I view them later in the scan tool?

    Yes, after you captured a log, and you open it in the scantool, you can add the calc pids, and if you Save the log file, the calc pids (and their calculated data) will now be saved in the log file.
