    Default Better Throttle Response

OK the vehicle is a 2000 chevy truck with the 5.3, has the Tr224 112 lsa cam..Has 2001 custom operation system, also tuned speed density with out a maf.when i go to rev off idle its kinda sluggish is there any way I can get a snappy throttle response through the tunning?? anything in the throttle cracker or follower would help this?or is the intake holding this back?

You could have a look at the Throttle Follower settings. But there really could be any number of things, both mechanical and tune wise that can affect this.

Throttle Follower adds and amount of air depending on the TP% applied.

I would also check the PE settings, assuming you are burying your foot . I have seen on some truck tunes that the PE delay (B3608) set to 60 seconds

It would be a lot easier to help you if you can give us more information. The table number he referenced to you need to physically open the program and check. I am not trying to sound rude, but it is hard for us to "guess" at what things are.

Yeah lots of things for throttle response. I had to reduce my follower settings recently because after sorting out timing, porting the TB and cold air intake it was too much.
So as Tordne says a lot of things can help throttle response.

    Throttle Body
    Timing
    Follower
    Cold air intake
    Exhaust
    Cam
    Heads etc

If it was me Id look at base spark and high octane table in the off idle positions, Id also port my TB, that made a big difference for me. Then all the usual bolts on mods.

Add a few degrees of timing from 600 up to 2000 until it revs easily. Worked for me!
