I downloaded stock lbz tune of friends truck and went to open it and it comes up with this error. I habe the latest version, firmware and bootblock. Never seent his before. I know he was having issues with a hypertech and dealer reflashed his truck.

What versions are you running? What versions is your friend running? Please list version numbers.
It is possible your friend is running beta software only available for download from our forum.

He isn't running efilive, he had it reflashed at dealer cause he was having issues with his hypertech. I am just trying to get the tune since it's the newest one from GM for the LBZ.

What about V7? You are reading with V8 Scan and Tune, but opening the tune file in V7 to edit - you need to be compatible across all softwares.Originally Posted by pavetim

I download tune off truck using V8 and when I go to edit tune it says can only edit with V7 so that opens up. but yes I checked my V7 and it's build 309 V 7.5.7. Maybe I'm just dumb lol but this whole V7 and V8 thing kind of sucks, can't wait till it's only V8. I'll update when I get home and see what happens.
Updated my V7 and works now.
