    Default Please verify process for this

    I have been fighting this for awhile now. What is the proper way to add pids to model years and change the units. I know you can go into V8 and open Scan or you can do it in BBX but it never works for me. Like I went in today and changed the pid lineup for an LBZ and when I hooked up to truck it was a whole different pid lineup. And for the life of me I can't get the damn units to change.

    kb_article.php?ref=6659-YAHB-3781

    you specify your ECM in the blue area;
    you drag the pids from the yellow area to the green area and then do this:
    - on each pid you go rightclick->Properties,
    - checkmark Custom Pid Properties,
    - Quick select the units;
    - click Ok;
    - when done click Save (and give it a filename), then click Program and make sure it programs into your V2.

    When logging on your FSV2 press the ENTER key to switch units for all pids (i.e. selects Custom Units).

    May have it now i'll see how it reacts when I hook up to truck. Whats the difference between doing pids from the BBX F5 and then Scan F2 button instead of doing them from the Scan F2 button on first screen?

    Save and Program are 2 different, independent functions. If you want to move a configuration to FlashScan/AutoCal you need to use Program.

    If you want to SAVE a configuration to your PC to use in the future, you need to use the save or save as function.

    Cheers

    This configures the pids for V2 BBL (you have to click Program to write this config to V2).

    This configures the pids for the V8 scantool.
